The Palazzo della Gran Guardia is one of Verona’s most imposing historic buildings, located on Piazza Brà, directly opposite the Arena. Construction began in 1610 under architect Domenico Curtoni, but due to wars and economic difficulties, it wasn’t completed until 1853.

Built in a grand Baroque style, the palace features a majestic façade with an elegant loggia and tall arches. Originally, it served as a space for military training, parades, and gatherings. Today, the Gran Guardia is a prestigious cultural and events venue, hosting art exhibitions, conferences, concerts, and official ceremonies.

Thanks to its size, central position, and historic charm, the Gran Guardia is one of Verona’s key landmarks, blending centuries of history with modern cultural life.
