The electric current is 220V with a frequency of 50Hz. Type F/Schuko plugs are used.

Credit cards may be used in most shops and restaurants. On local buses cash is required.
Business hours
Most public offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm. Shops are open mainly from 10 am to 8 pm. Grocery stores are open mostly from 7 am until 9 pm. Shopping centres are within 10 minute walk from the suggested hotels.
Telephone and internet access
Wireless connection is free at the venue, in all hotels, in many restaurants, cafés and shopping centers. Pre-paid cards for cell phones and wireless internet are available for purchase at small shops, big stores, and phone operators’ stores.
Water supply
The tap water in Vigo is perfectly drinkable and tastes good.
Vigo has an Atlantic climate. Autumn is mild and the average temperature is approximately 15° C. On average, in October, the weather varies a lot. It could be sunny (one third of the days), it could rain (one third of the days) or something in between. However, we are never sure which one it will be next! But in recent years, the climate has become warmer (19° C) and the grapes had to be harvested 2-4 weeks earlier due to sunny weather.
The official languages are Spanish and Galician. Staff of hotels and restaurants can communicate in English.
For kids
It’s safe to bring kids with you to Galicia. There are plenty of activities for the kids and whole family at Vigo.
