El Camino

The Camino de Santiago is one of the oldest and most significant pilgrimage routes in Europe, with origins dating back to the 9th century following the discovery of the supposed tomb of the Apostle Saint James in what is now the city of Santiago de Compostela.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in an optional Camino de Santiago experience from Monday to Wednesday, immediately prior to the official opening of the Congress.

This initiative is designed to offer attendees an immersive cultural and experiential introduction to Galicia and the spirit of the Camino, combining physical activity, heritage, nature and opportunities for informal networking among participants before the scientific programme begins.
